KARACHI: On Wednesday, January 13, at the opening of the bullion market, a single tola of 24 karat gold was sold in Pakistan for Rs113,300.
Similarly, at the start of trade, 10 grammes of 24k gold was sold at Rs97,136.
Meanwhile, Rs89,042 was exchanged for 10 grammes of 22k gold, while 1 tola of 22k gold was traded for Rs103,859.
According to data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Group, bullion prices in the local market increased from Rs100/tola to Rs113,300/tola a day earlier.
Similarly, Rs85 increased the price of 10 grammes of gold to Rs97,136, it said.
Bullion prices rose $10 to $1,860/ounce on the foreign market as well.
Jewellers reported that local market prices remained Rs1,000/tola lower compared to Dubai gold market rates.
Silver yields, however, remained at Rs1,300/tola unchanged. The price of 10 grammes of silver was the same at Rs1,114.54 as well.
