Government of Pakistan has approved special package of Rs50 million and jobs for the heirs of slain SP Tahir Dawar. State Minister for Interior Shahryar Afridi on Tuesday, while speaking at a press conference along with Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and SP Dawar’s brother announce the package and said that government is responsible to take care of martyred SP’s family.
He said the heirs of the martyred police officers would get jobs in government departments adding that it was the responsibility of the government to take care of the heirs of martyred security personnel. He further said that a five-member parliamentary committee would be formed to review progress in the investigations of the murder of SP Tahir Dawar. He asked key stakeholders to play their role in peace and security of Pakistan adding that the civil military leadership was on the same page on security issues.
Martyred Superintendent Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar was abducted from Islamabad’s G-10/4 area. Pictures believed to be his dead body was started circulating on social media. Afghanistan government later has confirmed the martyrdom of Superintendent Police (SP) Tahir Khan.
