It seems legislators are now more dedicated towards facilitating the citizens, as the incumbent PTI government progresses through its term. The Punjab government collaborated with a private company, to introduce a Home Delivery System for fruits and vegetables in Multan and Rawalpindi.
The launching ceremony the new service took place at Circuit House on January, 13(Monday), with Chairman Non-Ministerial Standing Committee on Government Assurances, Mian Aamir Dogar, Parliamentary Secretary, Nadeem Qureshi, and Deputy Commissioner Multan present.
Residents of Multan and Rawalpindi can benefit from this new service, and have fruits and vegetables delivered right to their doorsteps, eradicating the hassle of visiting the market and going through various shops. Mian Aamir Dogar hoped that the citizens will respond positively to the initiative as it is aimed at making life easier for them.
Earlier, the Islamabad administration had also launched a similar service for the residents of the city wherein they could order these items online at DC-approved rates. The app based service is however only available to Android devices at the moment.
To begin using the service, users can download the Qeemat Punjab app from Play Store following this link.
