60 nominations have been named across 10 men’s and women’s categories as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced awards of the decade this time around instead of regular yearly awards.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided that the fans will pick the winners of these awards by voting. Winners will be announced on December 18, 2020.
Only Misbah-ul-Haq and Yasir Shah from Pakistan, have been nominated for ICC Awards of the decade.
Misbah-ul-Haq is nominated for the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade while Yasir Shah is nominated for Men’s Test Player of the Decade.
Misbah claimed the spirit of the year award in 2016. He was adjudged the winner for inspiring his side to play the game in its true spirit, at the same time lifting the Pakistan cricket team from number 4 to number one on the ICC Test team rankings
Yasir Shah is the 2nd joint-fastest to take 100 wickets while he is the fastest to take 200 wickets in Test cricket. He is taken 224 wickets until now in 42 matches played
