The International Cricket Council has banned the former Zimbabwe skipper Brendan Taylor after he accepted 4 charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code and one separate charge of breaching the Anti-Doping Code.
As per details, Brendan Taylor has been handed a 3.5 ban from all forms of cricket over several breaches of the ICC Corruption Code.
Alex Marshall, ICC General Manager of the Integrity Unit, On the former Zimbabwe captain’s ban, said it is disappointing that a player of his experience chose not to fulfil those obligations.
Marshall said that “Over such a long career, he participated in numerous anti-corruption and anti-doping education sessions and knew exactly what his obligations were under the ICC Anti-Corruption and Anti-Doping Codes,”
He further added that “It is disappointing that a player of his experience chose not to fulfil those obligations, however, he has accepted all charges, which has been reflected in the sanction,”
It must be noted that the 35-years-old former Zimbabwe skipper Brendan Taylor shared his full statement following this plight situation on Twitter earlier this week.
