The International Cricket Council (ICC) launched a poll on social media platform Twitter asking fans to choose which captain was the best among four.
The options given by the International Cricket Council (ICC) include current Indian skipper Virat Kholi, former South African skipper AB de Villiers, current skipper of Australia’s women Team Meg Lanning and former Pakistan team skipper Imran Khan.
The world cricketing body said that for these 4 players the captaincy stood out for them and became a blessing for them. Adding that for these players the averages improved when they became leaders of their dressing room.
The ICC wrote on Twitter that “You decide which of these ‘pacesetters’ were the best among these geniuses!”
The statistics shared by ICC in a series tweets show that, The former Captain and current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, had a test average of 25.43 with the bat and 25.53 with the bowl in Tests, The Imran Khan’s Test average was 52.34 and bowling average was 20.26 when he was captaining the side.

Indian Captain Virat Kohli’s average shot up to 73.88 from 51.29 in ODIs when he took over the captaincy.
The former Captain of Protease Ab de Villiers average was 45.97 when he was not the captain but during the captaincy, the average jumped to 63.94.

The Australian women cricket team’s Captain Meg Lanning also saw a hike in her average when she became the captain, when she was not the captain the Meg Lanning averaging 43.87 but while playing as the captain her average shot up to 60.93.
