The tenth International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2018) is continued in second day at Karachi’s Expo Centre on Wednesday (Nov28). 62 delegations from 51 countries including China, U.S, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Poland, Jordan, Pakistan, Turkey, UAE, Czech Republic and South Korea are participating in the 10th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar known. IDEAS 2018 will continued till November 30, 2018.
Brigadier Waheed Mumtaz, director coordination, Commodore Tariq Mahmood, Air Commodore Tahir Anwar, Brig Ali Ammar Haider from DEPO, Brig Abid Ali Askri, DIGP Traffic East, Javed Ali Mahar, and Zohair Naseer, chief operating officer, Badar Expo Solutions were also present during the brief. IDEAS 2018 is the biggest ever expo in terms of space, stall booking, exhibitors and umbers of delegations. 522 exhibitors from 50 countries have booked stalls and spaces.
President Arif Alvi on Tuesday addressed the opening ceremony of the tenth International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2018) and said Pakistan is peaceful country and weapons are for peaceful intent. he asserted, “Pakistan is a peaceful country and we look forward to resolution of all issues in a peaceful manner.” “War is no option,” he asserted. The president added, “Our weapons are for peaceful intent and will be used for defence, never for offence”. He continued, “Our nuclear deterrence is also to ensure that nobody looks at us with an evil eye.” President Alvi assured, “We will take every step possible for the country’s defence.”
“We have handled our borders strongly and sent a strong message to our neighbours,” President Alvi said. “We have handled terrorism.” Appreciating the sacrifices of Pakistan Army he said, “Pakistan Army has an important role in the elimination of terrorism and is a strong wall against terrorists.” “Pakistan Army is one of the most experienced forces in the world in the war against terror and we are proud of our martyrs,” he added.
“In Pakistan, the Constitution provides all forms of security to all citizens. The well-being of the nation is the government’s responsibility and the government is on the path to Naya Pakistan,” he said.
