Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau after his party’s triumph in the general elections held on Monday.
The premier sent his salutary message on the short-text blogging site, saying that he “looks forward working with Trudeau in future”
“Congratulations to Justin Trudeau for winning the elections in Canada. I look forward to working with him,” he wrote on in official Twitter handle.
Trudeau’s Liberal Party clutched control in the intense political race yet as a debilitated minority government.
Television projections declared the Liberals winners or leading in 157 of the nation’s 338 electoral districts, versus 121 for his main rival Andrew Scheer and the Conservatives, after polling stations across six time zones closed.
Trudeau, the 47-year-old previously a school teacher, overwhelmed Canadian legislative issues over the four years of his first term. Trudeau had to withstand constant political fire by his rival during the 40-day political decision crusade, which was depicted as one of the worst in Canadian history.
Conservative leader Andrew Scheer called his party “the government in waiting“, referring to his huge gains.
His brilliant spotless picture has been tainted by moral passes in the treatment of the bribery prosecution of engineering conglomerate SNC-Lavalin; while the development of old photos of him in blackface cosmetics shook his crusade.
