A Pakistani prisoner Identified as Shakirullah, who had been eight years into a life term at Jaipur central jail, was stoned to death by other inmates at the prison, the Rajasthan inspector general of police in-charge of prisons confirmed the reports. As per reports Pakistani prisoner was brutally murdered following Pulwama attack which killed 44 Indian troops.
The incident occurred few days after India has leveled baseless allegations on Pakistan over involvement in Pulwama attack. While Pakistan has denied allegations as Prime Minister Imran Khan in televised speech offered investigation adding that Pakistan is ready to talks with India on terrorism. “I am responding to the Indian government now because the Saudi crown prince was visiting the country and we were busy with that.”
“India accused Pakistan without any evidence and without thinking how this [attack] would benefit us,” he added. “Would even a fool try to sabotage such an important visit as that of the Saudi crown prince?” the prime minister asked. “We have been fighting against terrorism for the past 15 years. How will Pakistan benefit from such incidents?” Stating, “I want to ask India if they want to keep living in the past”, the premier said, “We want stability.” “I say it clearly this is a Naya Pakistan and a new mindset.” “Pakistan is ready to investigate the attack if India provides actionable intelligence” PM Imran had said.
