India will play their first-ever away pink-ball Test at the Adelaide Oval as Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the potential dates of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Gabba, Brisbane will be the venue to host the first Test match against India whereas Australia will begin their Test summer with an inaugural Test against Afghanistan in Perth.
The Afghanistan Test will take place from 21-25 November and will be a day/night match.
The first of the 4 Tests against India will begin on December 3rd in Brisbane. The 2nd Test will be a day/night encounter at the Adelaide Oval (11-15 December).
The 3rd and Boxing Day Test will begin on December 26th at the MCG, Melbourne whereas fourth, the New Year Test will begin on January 3rd, 2021 at SCG, Sydney.
Australia was keen to play their 1st Test at the Gabba, where Australia have not lost a Test in over 30 years.
Australia’s Test skipper Tim Paine said that, “We can’t wait to come to the Gabba, knowing that Australian sides play well and win a lot of Test matches here,”
