Imran Warsi a 40 years old citizen of Karachi went India to marry his cousin in 2003.The couple had a love marriage and have two sons,the family was living in kolkata. He wasn’t having proper documentation and in 2007 someone reported him to police.He was convicted on charges of holding fake documentation.
We have to send Warsi to Wagah border by 26 December,where he will be handed to Pakistani officials after completions of legal work,says Indian police official.
The Pakistani high commission in Delhi was informed about the decision.
Shanjahanabad police station has become home for Imran Warsi,he was provided with meals and his daily needs were looked after. Imran Warsi told that his family is living in Kolkata where he lived for four years before going to jail.
Hamid Nehal Ansari an Indian nationalist who crossed border without carrying any proper traveling documentation in 2012.He was sentenced for imprisonment by a military court in 2015 on the charges of espionage. The decision to release Imran Warsi was followed when the Pakistani authorities handed over Hamid to Indian authorities.
