Despite the tight security, curfew and fear of pallet injuries and other Indian brutalities, thousands of innocent Kashmiris took to streets and staged a massive protests against Indian government. Kashmiris are fighting for their special status since August 5 when BJP led Indian government revoked the article 370 and 35A of the constitution which granted the legal and special status to Kashmiris.
Yesterday was 19th day of strict curfew and communication blackout in Indian Occupied Kashmir. But following the protest call from detained leaders, people defied the restrictions and raised voice for their basic rights.
According to international media, however, violent clashes erupted between the demonstrators chanting against India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir and its aggression in the valley and security forces sent by New Delhi in Soura.
Security forces used tear gas against stone-throwing local residents in Indian Kashmir’s main city of Srinagar on Friday, after a third straight week of protests in the restive Soura district despite the imposition of tight restrictions.
