Although Faisalabad is considered the 3rd largest city of Pakistan and the also the backbone of Pakistan’s textile industry, but unfortunately this city is far behind developed cities of Pakistan like Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi. Unfortunately no political leader has paid attention for the development of the city yet. Despite the fact that historical city, Faisalabad is an asset and backbone of Pakistan’s economy , no one seems to be interested in the development of this city.
From last few days, the reports are circulating that local administration has decided to take decision to provide recreation for the people of Faisalabad people and a state of the art model zoo will be established in Faisalabad over twenty six acres of land where birds and animals of various species including lions, leopards, elephants would be housed.
A spokesman of the local administration said that commissioner Mehmood Javaid Bhatti during a meeting had stressed the need for a most modern zoo in Faisalabad for recreation of people especially children. As per details, the wildlife department earmarked 26 acres of land near Gattwala Park for the Model Zoo, where birds and animals of various species including lions, leopards, elephants, etc.
The question arises in minds of citizens that, whether a model zoo is enough for Faisalabad? The answer is a big “No”, Faisalabad is in needs of many other development projects which are important and must needed than zoo. Well, Lets see how many years the government will take to provide some necessary and basic facilities to the people of Faisalabad.
