Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jehangir Tareen on Sunday (Dec 8) overtly ruled out minus-Imran formula. Talking to media after meeting Ch brothers in Lahore, Tareen made it clear that “Imran Khan is the prime minister and he will remain so. He will complete his tenure,” he said. “Some people are involved in conspiracies–their talk is nothing but conspiracies.”
“PTI exists due to PM Imran and the present government is focusing on stabilising the national economy which had been destroyed by the previous rulers of PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) during the last 10 years,” he said.
While taking a jibe at opposition he said that Nawaz Sharif had been minused and the same was about to happen to Maryam Nawaz. “Those facing legal proceedings are absconding abroad. Together, PML-N and PPP have destroyed country’s economy”, added Tareen. “Nawaz and Shehbaz have been minus. It is Maryam Nawaz’s turn“, warned Tareen.
Meanwhile talking about Chaudhary brothers’ concerns he said they have no concerns. “We have spoken to the Chaudhry brothers. They have no reservations with the government,” he said. Tareen said that if BNP-M chief Akhtar Mengal had issues with the government then they will be solved.
His comments come in the wake of reports that the PTI is gearing up to contact political allies and address their reservations. BNP-M chief Akhtar Mengal has been criticising the government during the past couple of days as he accuses them of neglecting Balochistan.
