A local court in Lahore has extended judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah till October 18.
The court conducted hearing of the drugs recovery case today where the complainant, Azizullah, was summoned by special central judge Khalid Bashir. Earlier Rana Sanaullah had withdrawn his bail plea in heroin smuggling case stating that he will file a bail plea again after viewing the CCTV footage.
The ANF had arrested Rana Sanaullah on July 1 in a narcotics case and the next day a judicial magistrate sent him to jail on judicial remand. According to the ANF, 15 kilograms of heroin was found in possession of the PML-N leader.
