Maulana Asad Mehmood, son of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday (Nov 8) accepted Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur’s challenge to face off each other in an election.
In his address to the National Assembly, Asad Mehmood said, “I will resign, Ali Amin you resign as well, let’s contest in an election.” The JUI-F leader dared Ali Amin to not to back from his statement and face him in an election. To this, Ali Amin Gandapur said he is ready to face him off in the election if Maulana Fazlur Rehman ends his sit-in.
Earlier, Khattak also challenged the leadership of JUI-F for fresh election in Ali Amin Gandapur’s constituency and alleged that two political parties have put economy of the country in crisis.
He once again invited the Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (F) leadership for dialogue to solve the issues in an amicable manner, adding that if you want democracy to flourish in the country, then come on the negotiation table for solving the issues rather than Dharna politics.
