Following the petition filed by Dr Farooq Sattar after Karachi Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra, who had contested on a Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) ticket, joined rival Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), the Election Commission of Pakistan has disqualified Karachi Deputy Mayor.
A three-member bench, headed by the chief election commissioner announced its verdict in his disqualification case Wednesday (March 13).
As per details, Vohra left MQM-P to join the PSP while in office, due to which he has been disqualified. He was elected a chairman of UC-49 in District Central.
