A resident of Korangi and student of KG-I, Alyan was killed on Sunday, when he was riding a motorbike with his father, and unfortunately his neck was slit by a kite string. He was being taken to a nearby hospital, when he succumbed to his injuries, rescue officials said.
Talking to the media, Alyan’s father urged the government that his “son be given due justice by implementing action against the accountable individuals”. He further demanded to implement the laws against kite flying to avoid such incidents in future.
In 2017, the Punjab government had banned kite flying after multiple deaths caused by strings and warned the district police officer that they will be held responsible if the 12-year ban on kite-flying is violated in their territories.
