When their children grow up to assume duties as senior royals, Kate Middleton and Prince William are educating their children for the different routes they will have to follow.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “quite mindful of the varied destiny awaiting their three children,” according to royal historian Robert Lacey, who also noted that the “heir” and “spare” problem has frequently caught the royal family off surprise.
“How will the younger brother and sister cope with the problems faced by Princess Margaret, Prince Andrew, and Prince Harry?” Lacey wondered, while Prince George will continue in his father’s path.
These problems have “blighted” three generations, according to Lacey, and “William is working with Kate to assist all of their children discover what they find personally gratifying.”
He went on to say that the pair is highly involved with their children and that they have focused their parenting on stability.
“As royal parents, both Kate and William have concentrated on… trying to guarantee that all three of their children experience the tranquil upbringing that William and Harry did not,” the historian said.
