The elegance with which she holds herself, Kate Middleton has often drawn parallels with the late Princess Diana, similar to the way she did.
Two royal experts commented on how Diana should have been like a monarch and how Kate’s ruling style would be when she becomes the Queen Consort, carrying on the comparison.
Royal author Victoria Murphy claims Cambridge’s Duchess is more like Queen Elizabeth II than Diana would ever have been.
“I’ve always felt that Kate has something in common personality-wise with the Queen; not an extrovert, but quietly self-assured with outdoor love and compartmentalization capacity,” Murphy said.
“Nonetheless, I think she ‘s definitely more of a team player than a leader and maybe more of a listener than a speaker, but I think these qualities suit her current and future roles well,” she said.
Since joining the royal family, there is no question that Kate has grown immensely in trust. At the beginning, she was very keen to learn the ropes and look to others for guidance on what she would do and you could see it.
“But gradually she’s started to take the lead more and now it feels much more like she’s a driving force when it comes to the types of causes she and William are taking on and how they approach their work,” she further said.
Another royal author, Angela Levin, gave Murphy ‘s acceptance nod saying: “I think she’s gained confidence as time goes by. She’s a perfectionist who wants it right and she’s worried that she may not.”
“She now knows the ropes she’s more relaxed. I also think being a mother has made a big difference to how she’s faced life as a royal,” Levin added.
