Lahore Deputy Commissioner Saleha Saeed said the Lahore district administration would not allow the theater industry to propagate vulgarity, dances and vulgar dialogues in plays.
She expressed these opinions after receiving complaints against vulgarity in dramas.
Khawar Bashir, Assistant Commissioner for HQ, convened a meeting of owners and theater managers and asked them to follow all rules and regulations. He said the district administration would ensure healthy entertainment to the public through the theater industry.
He also asked them not to change dancers without prior authorization. It is also mandatory to track the timing of plays and submit dramatic texts to the DC office. The district administration would also monitor the rehearsal of each drama, he added.
