Lahore Qalandars beat Quetta Gladiators by 9 wickets in 4th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 as Fakhar Zaman (82*) and Mohammad Hafeez (73*) consolidated for a match-winning partnership.
Fakhar-Hafeez thrashed Quetta Gladiators’ bowling line as they were completely speechless in front of the 2 in-form batters.
Quetta Gladiators while batting first lost their openers earlier for just 12 runs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi followed Haris Rauf and picked his 1st wicket as Quetta Gladiators were reduced to 20-2 in 3 overs. Tom Banton fell to Harris Rauf while young Saim was removed by Shaheen Afridi.
Chris Gayle and Sarfaraz joined the crease and scored a match-building partnership, Sarfaraz scored 40 runs with the help of 5 boundaries before falling to Harris Rauf. However, Gayle continued for long and smashed 68 runs off 40 balls laced with 5 boundaries and as many sixes.
The Universe Boss Chris Gayle and Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 101 runs together as Gladiators scored 178-6 in 20 overs.
Mohammad Nawaz remained not out for 33 runs and raced the score of Gladiators.
For Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf picked 3 wickets while Rashid Khan, Ahmed Daniyal, and Rashid Khan bagged a wicket each.
While chasing the target Lahore Qalandars were started firmly with openers Sohail Akhtar and Fakhar Zaman scoring 64 runs together. Skipper Sohail Akhtar gave away his wicket to Zahid Mehmood after scoring 21 runs.
After that Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman smashed the ball all around the park after getting a couple of chances. Fakhar Zaman bagged the player of the match award.
