Lil Wayne is facing charges for reportedly pulling a gun on his own personal bodyguard.
A representative for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed the information.
On December 1st, at approximately 1:40 a.m., the Malibu/Lost Hills Station got a “assault with a dangerous weapon” call, according to Page Six.
When police arrived at the location late at night, a male Hispanic adult accused Lil Wayne of pushing their verbal dispute into a physical brawl and pulling a gun.
Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr, has also accused his bodyguard of photographing him and leaking them to the press.
Local law enforcement spoke with TMZ about the scenario and gave a minute-by-minute summary of what happened.
The bodyguard claims he went into the bathroom where Lil Wayne pulled out his AR-15 on him, according to their findings.
For those unfamiliar, this isn’t the rapper’s first brush with the law when it comes to firearms, as he previously pled guilty to gun charges in Florida in 2019.
In 2009, he was charged with attempted criminal possession of a weapon in New York and pleaded guilty.
