Special ceremonies were held at President House and Prime Minister’s Secretariat to express solidarity with the oppressed people of India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Ministers, MNAs, officials, public servants, students of schools, colleges and universities, government and private offices, banks, traders, lawyers and military authorities have gathered outside the two executive offices, waving both Pakistani and Kashmiri flags.
In the federal capital, the main event is being held outside the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) where a large gathering will later be addressed by the prime minister. Along with the premier, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Naeem ul Haque are also in attendance.
Pakistan-India War Will Impact Whole World: PM Warns
Prime Minister Imranm Khan while addressing the nation, said that “today all of Pakistan, wherever there are Pakistanis, whether they are our school students, or shopkeepers or labourers, today all of us are standing with our Kashmiris,” the premier said. “Our Kashmiris are going through a very tough time,” he added.
The premier said that the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had taken over India, “the way the Nazi party had taken over Germany.” “They think that Muslims should be taught a lesson, that they are not equal citizens,” he said, adding: “Today the whole world is seeing what is happening in Kashmir.”
The premier said that if India planned to take any action in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, “every brick will be countered with a stone.” “Forget the media they did not [Indian] opposition leaders go to Srinagar.”
“I have told world leaders that if they do not stand with Kashmiris against Modi, the impact will be global in a similar way to what happened when the world did not stand against Hitler”. “I want to tell Modi that our Army is ready for anything they do in Azad Kashmir. The world should know that when two nuclear countries face-off, the whole world will be harmed. I tell this to everyone I speak with.
President Arif Alvi Addresses Crowd
Another event is being held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr where President Arif Alvi addressed the crowd, gathered to send a strong message to wold community that Pakistan will continue its fight till freedom of Kashmir.
Pakistan, Kashmir’s National Anthem, Sirens Played
Sirens blared across the country as the clock struck noon and traffic signals turned red on all thoroughfares of the federal capital, Islamabad. The National Anthem was played along with the anthem of Kashmir.
Federal Ministers Gather at D-Chowk
Federal ministers and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have also gathered at D-Chowk, while government employees also came out of their offices to participate in Kashmir Hour on the streets.
Nationwide Demonstrations Are Underway
Numerous demonstrations have been organised in all districts of the country. On the directives of PM Imran, elected representatives are leading the demonstrations in their respective constituencies and members of the civil society and students are participating in large numbers.
Local political leaders in their respective constituencies led protest rallies in which students and civil society participated in large numbers as Pakistani nation gave the entire world a strong message by expressing support to oppressed people of the occupied valley.
