KARACHI: The closure of the Iranian border has increased the price of LPG in the country by Rs 50 per kilo.
According to Express News: The price of LPG has increased by Rs 50 per kg in the country due to the closure of Iranian border due to Corona virus. In local market the price of LPG has gone up by Rs 200 per kg while the price of domestic cylinder has been increased by Rs. 500 and commercial cylinder by Rs 2000.
1 thousand metric tones of LPG Were being imported from Iran daily. Dozens of LPG containers were struck on Pak-Iran border due to border closure.
According to sources, there is no long-term policy for LPG sector in Pakistan. The LPG Distributors Association called for the government to take immediate notice of the situation and said that the government should consider alternatives to avoid crisis.
