Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday telephoned his Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah and apprised him of blatant human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
During the conversation, Malaysian FM has expressed concern over the prevailing human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir and reaffirmed support for the protection of rights of Kashmiri people.
FM Qureshi said Indian unilateral actions in occupied Kashmir has endangered the regional peace and security. He said millions of innocent and armless Kashmiri people are looking towards the international community especially the Muslim world to get the Indian atrocities stopped. Both the foreign ministers agreed to continue their joint efforts and maintain contacts for regional peace.
The occupied Kashmir is facing 33rd day on Friday (Sep 6) under the siege of brutal Indian forces where the unrelenting communications blackout and curfew have brought the normal life to a standstill with markets shut and public transport off the roads since August 5.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Kashmir valley remains cut off from the rest of the world since August 05 due to the continued blockade and suspension of internet, mobile and landline phones and closure of TV channels.
