An Accountability Court on Friday (August 9) granted 12- day physical remand of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz. She will be presented before court on August 21. The National Accountability Court (NAB) has arrested PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Maryam had appeared before an accountability court today in connection with the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. Yousaf Abbas, a cousin of Maryam Nawaz who was also arrested by NAB the same day, was produced before the court alongside the PML-N leader, and was also reminded into the accountability watchdog’s custody for 12 days.
NAB has summoned Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday (August 8) in connection with to a corruption probe involving Chaudhry Sugar Mills. She was taken custody from outside the Kot Lakhpat Jail. Daughter of ex-premier Nawaz Sharif was reached Kot Lakhpat Jail on routine day of the meeting with his father Nawaz Sharif where the NAB took her into custody.
