After raising voice against, Imran Khan led PTI government, on social media, now former first daughter and Vice President of Pakistan Muslim-League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz has decide to start her mass contact drive on July 7 from Punjab’s Mandi Bahauddin district.
Earlier Maryam Nawaz had declared that she cannot be intimidated and now nobody can stop her from going to the masses against the ‘selected’ Imran Khan government.
“I have seen imprisonment, exile and political victimisation…what else is there in waiting. These things cannot make me afraid anymore and stop me from going to the masses. A comprehensive schedule of my mass contact has been prepared and I will be among them (masses) soon,” Maryam Nawaz told reporters after meeting the families of PML-N leaders Khwaja Saad Rafique and Khwaja Salman Rafique on June19.
Earlier it was expected that she will start her drive from Sindh but later she changed her political strategies. However, according to Maryam’s political secretary, plan for her visits to other part of Punjab will be finalised in the coming few days. “Few locations have been identified for post-Mandi Bahadudin rallies but nothing can be confirmed as yet.”
Other sources said the locations under consideration would either be in Southern Punjab or Gujranwala and Sialkot. They revealed that Maryam would start her Sindh visit from Karachi. The PML-N Punjab leader Azma Bukhari said Maryam was expected to start her visit to Sindh from the last week of July.
