Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail and former Managing Director of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Sheikh Imran-ul-Haq were arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday (August 7).
Former Finance Minister was taken into custody outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), after IHC rejected his bail plea in the LNG case.
Earlier a special team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on July 18 raided former finance minister Miftah Ismail home aimed to arrest him in a multi-billion rupees LNG scam, but the team was not allowed to enter home. NAB Chairman Javed Iqbal had signed arrest warrants of Miftah Ismail in LNG scandal.
Its worth mentioning that former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is already in NAB custody in same corruption charges. He was arrested in connection with LNG import contract and LNG terminal.
