An Uzbek woman, Yelena, reportedly abducted from Lahore a few days ago, has been recovered from Islamabad on Sunday (June 2), police confirmed. As per details, ayoung Uzbek domestic helper, was allegedly abducted by her employer’s driver from Lahore last month,
Police said they have arrested the suspect, who was identified as Sohail in the first information report (FIR) registered at the Defence A station. Both the suspect and the woman were transferred from the capital city to Lahore. Yelena had come to Pakistan with a legal visa and passport in April as a housemaid, and was working as a babysitter at the residence of her employer in the upscale Lahore neighbourhood.
Last month, the Islamabad Police had recovered a Pakistan origin German girl, who had allegedly been abducted from Sector G-6 a week prior to her recovery.
