The Modi led BJP central government has finally succeeded to impose governor’s rule in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the imposition of Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect.
Governor N.N Vohra recommended the Central rule in the State after Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti submitted her resignation soon after the BJP pulled out of the alliance with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the Indian media, President Kovind signed the summary while he was on a foreign tour. The central government was in such a hurry that it did not wait for his return and send the summary abroad for approval.
There are two main reasons behind this move by the BJP government. First, BJP wants to end the coalition government with PDP. BJP do not want to go the 2019 general elections with this coalition. BJP wants to go alone in occupied J&K.
The second reason is that Modi government wants to launch a massive military operation in occupied Kashmir to quell the youth rebellion. The Indian occupation forces are preparing for a heavy crackdown. BJP government is hoping to crush the resistance before going into 2019 general elections. Modi Sarkar wants to whip up the anti- Muslim sentiments in the society to gain votes from the hardline Hindus.
The Indian occupied forces will increase repression and state brutality against unarmed young protestors to silent them. The human rights violations and state repression will increase in coming days.
