According to the Indian media reports, The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet the leadership of the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) today (Thursday) in New Delhi, with talks set to focus on elections and delimitation of territories in the occupied region.
As per details, The Indian PM Modi is set to meet 14 pro-India Kashmiri leaders today, 4 among them former chief ministers of occupied Kashmir.
The media reports stated that, Prominent leaders who have been invited to the conference include Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and Mehbooba Mufti.
The India government led by Narendra Modi has not invited the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) for the conclave.
It must be noted that, This would be first political engagement between the Kashmiri leadership and the BJP government in the Centre since New Dehli abolished Article 370 of its Constitution in August 2019 – a move strongly opposed by the people and Pakistan and China.
