Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during his recent visit to Pakistan has offer to Prime Minister Imran Khan about his country’s cooperation to transform five big airports of Pakistan.
Qatar will modernize all of Pakistan’s old airports by providing financial and technical assistance, sources said, adding that modern technologies and new designs would replace the obsolete system and infrastructure.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani asked the Prime Minister Imran Khan to outsource the services for Pakistani airports to modify them on the model of the Qatar airport.
The sources said Prime Minister Imran Khan would chair an important meeting in this regard on Monday (today) and make key decisions for the aviation sector.
Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar, the Secretary of Aviation and other senior officials will attend the meeting. The session should also make key decisions regarding the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), including approving the separation of two important sections of the department.
