Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda on Friday (Jan 18), During a news conference, once again criticized the previous governments for making fakse promises with people and made it clear that Mohmand Dam would be built at all cost.
According to the minister, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not want the government in Sindh to fall nor was it conspiring to do so.
Vadwa hoped that Sindh Chief Minister would fulfil his responsibilities. “There are only promises of what the Sindh government intends to do,” he said. “You know what I am capable of if the Sindh government does not work,” Vadwa told reporters. “30 per cent of those working in the town office are in jail and they are receiving salaries,” he added.
Earlier leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Friday while Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, demanded probe in Dams construction contract and said “We do not have any personal problem with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s adviser Abdul Razak Dawood. The speaker should give a ruling on the issue of awarding the contract for the construction of Mohmand Dam.” “A Rs309 billion project is being awarded on a single bid. As per PEPRA rules, if there is only one bidder then the bid should be done again or should be checked with the market if the offer is appropriate.
