On Thursday, the Multan court rejected the appeal of the parents of the murdered model Qandeel Baloch to forgive her brothers accused of killing her.
Judge Imran Shafi, of the district and sessions, said that the court would rule on “honor killing” after the testimony of all witnesses was recorded.
Baloch’s parents, Muhammad Azeem and Anwar Bibi, on Wednesday submitted an affidavit to the trial court, claiming that they had forgiven their sons in the name of Allah and demanded that the court cancel the case.
Qandeel Murder Case: Father Forgives His Two Sons
Qandeel bloach parents filed an affidavit for forgiving their sons in court, who are on trial for the apparent honour killing.
Qandeel’s father stated in his affidavit that the case of Qandeel’s murder was recorded on July 16, 2016, while the law on honor was amended on October 22, 2016.
The modification of the law of honor 311 was made later. Therefore, the new law is not applicable to this case. The accused must be acquitted in accordance with article 345 of the criminal procedure. The model court judge summoned prosecutors and lawyers to testify about the affidavit presented by Qandeel’s father for forgiving his two sons involved in the Qandeel murder case.
