On Monday, The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials will present former finance minister, Miftah Ismail and former MD PSO Imran ul Haq before an accountability court as their 11-day physical remand ended.
Both Miftah and Haq are facing corruption charges in tenders for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The accused will be presented before the court of Judge Muhammad Bashir.
Sources said that the NAB officials will seek an extension in the remand of the accused.
Miftah Ismail Gets Pre-Arrest Bail in LNG Scam
Earlier a special team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on July 18 raided former finance minister Miftah Ismail home aimed to arrest him in a multi-billion rupees LNG scam, but the team was not allowed to enter home. NAB Chairman Javed Iqbal had signed arrest warrants of Miftah Ismail in LNG scandal.
