The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) efforts to combat corruption are on full swing, as after taking big names in custody now NAB has recovered Rs18.8 million in cash including $9,000 and other foreign currencies from the home of a senior official of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) of the United Nations in Islamabad on Wednesday (Dec 19). The anti-graft body’s Rawalpindi branch, seized the amount which had been allegedly taken by the suspect as kickbacks from a company, sources said.
Earlier The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on November 9)raided the house of a former grade-16 government officer in Lahore and seized Rs300 million, including cash and prize bonds, officials said.
