The National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Rawalpindi office has summoned PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on December 13 in a case pertaining to Park Lane Estates (Pvt) Limited, a Karachi-based real estate firm, NAB spokesperson Nawazish Ali Asim said.
“A team of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s lawyers will appear before NAB Rawalpindi on Dec 13,” said Bilawal’s spokesman, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, He said that the “notice sent to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is ridiculous” and “Bilawal Bhutto was being asked about matters of the time when he was just one-year old”, he said.
Earlier the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which is investigating the fake accounts and money laundering case on the orders of Supreme Court sent a tough questionnaire to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The JIT has asked around 20 questions to young chairman of PPP. According to sources, the investigators asked the young politician how his company, M/s Zardari Group Pvt Ltd, remained a beneficiary of billions of rupees stashed into around a dozen fake accounts.
