The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned one of the leading businessmen in Pakistan and the owner of Nishat Group Mian Mansha along with his two sons on February 28. They will be interrogated in money laundering case and the purchase of St James Hotel and Club Ltd. in London. NAB will also investigate them about the funds transferred from Pakistan to London for the purchase.
“You are once again asked to appear before a combined investigation team at NAB’s Lahore office on Feb 28 at 10am to record your statement along with following documents – complete money trail for purchase of St. James Hotel and Club and detail of loan agreements for purchase of the hotel,” it said.
Mian Muhammad Mansha is a Pakistani business magnate and billionaire. He is the founder and CEO of the Lahore-based international conglomerate Nishat Group. Mansha is the richest and highest tax-paying individual in Pakistan His name appeared in Paradise Papers in November 2017 having a link to offshore companies.
