On February 3, The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has asked the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Mian Javed Latif to appear on February 4 in assets beyond income case.
The anti-corruption watchdog has directed to appear along with details of the assets of his mother owned and transferred to other family members before its Lahore headquarters. PML-N leader sought one month’s time to provide details of the assets of his mother.
Sources say the PML-N leader’s mother owned properties worth billions of rupees. They said she had declared over Rs100 million worth of assets before the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The PML-N lawmaker is facing NAB inquiry over his inappropriate assets after coming into politics.
MNA Javed Latif’s assets increased exponentially after entering politics, sources within NAB said and added that before entering politics he owned a 12 marla inherited house in Habib Colony, Sheikhupura, which has now been extended to 1.5 acres.
