Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nazwaz Sharif has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for a minimum required period as Punjab Home Department on Thursday (Feb 14) issued a notification.
According to notification, decision was taken after the recommendations of a special medical board of the Services Hospital and on the request of his personal physician adding that former PM will be provided with fool proof security at the hospital as well as a VIP room will also be provided. Earlier according to reports of medical tests that were conducted in services hospital, kidney stone was diagnosed. Just two days after Nawaz was shifted back to Kot Lakhpat Jail on his own demand.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat prison from Adiala jail on Dec. 25. A court in Islamabad on December 23 sentenced the former prime minister to seven years in prison following Al-Azizia steel mills reference while he has been acquitted in the Flagship Investment reference.
