According to the sources, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation.
As per details, Both PML-N leaders discussed the upcoming election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Nawaz Sharif directed Shehbaz Sharif not engage in AJK polls, as both of them agreed to task PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz Sharif to run the party’s election campaign in the AJK region.
The sources said that Nawaz Sharif asked both Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz to jointly run the campaign and address separate public meetings, making the incumbent government’s Kashmir policy and rising inflation the target of their criticism of the ruling PTI.
It must be noted that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has already arrived in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to lead PPP’s campaign to woo voters ahead of the election slated for July 25.
