According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) issued health guidelines for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
As per to details, Eid-ul-Fitr prayers should be offered in open places under strict coronavirus SOPs, In case prayers are offered indoors, windows and doors of mosques to be kept open for adequate ventilation.
The NCOC said that more congregations should be held at the same time in order to avoid crowding, Eid sermon should be brief and comprehensive with minors under 15 years of age, elderly citizens and those suffering from some illness be stopped from attending congregational prayers.
The NCOC has made mask wearing mandatory for every worshiper who have been advised to bring their own prayer mats, The places where Eid prayers will be offered should have multiple entry and exit points with effective thermal scanners, NCOC added
The forum further added that 6-feet distance between rows of worshipers be ensured and they should avoid handshaking or hugs after Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
The NCOC emphasized that the need for strict enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
