After hiking prices of petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas, now the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday (April 4) approved a Rs0.81 per unit increase in the price of electricity. The hike in power tariff will put an additional financial burden of Rs5.2 billion on consumers. The higher electricity rates do not apply to K-Electric consumers.
Earlier the government of Pakistan has increased the prices of petroleum products for month of April 2019. According to new prices, the prices of Petrol and High Speed Diesel have been increased by 6 rupees per litre each. The prices of kerosene oil and Light Diesel Oil have also been increased by 3 rupees per litre.
While on the other hand, prices of liquefied petroleum gas has already been increase by Rs3.47 per kilogramme.
