Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday (July 4) said that the government has nothing to do with the arrest of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sana Ullah’s arrest. He said the opposition wanted to divert the attention of masses from their crimes by raising allegations.
According to sources, PM Imran chaired a joint meeting of party leaders and spokespersons to discuss the conditions aroused after the recent arrests of opposition leaders. Discussing on the allegations of opposition over Rana Sana Ullah’s arrest he said that the government has no role in the arrest of PML-N Punjab president and the accused should go and fight their cases in the courts.
Imran also insisted that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led federal government does not believe in the politics of revenge. PM Imran also discussed the current political situations of the country with the party leadership. He also lauded the role of spokespersons during the criticism of opposition on the recently proposed annual budget.
The premier also directed an indiscriminate action against those who possessed ‘Unnamed Assets’ or ‘Benami Assets’ as they were given a full-fledged opportunity to declare their assets.
