Sindh’s leadership is seems to be in trouble as senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) including Peoples’ Party Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah are facing money laundering trials and federal government has placed their names on Exit Control List (ECL).
The rumors regarding governor’s rule in province was circulating but Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Saturday (Dec 29) has rejected reports regarding imposition of governor’s rule and made it clear that “Any possibility of imposition of governor’s rule in the province is not in my knowledge,” adding that elected representatives will complete their respective tenures. He was addressing a joint press conference with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan.
Federal government on Friday (Dec 28) has released a list of 172 suspects involved in money laundering through fake bank accounts. Top PPP leadership are also among 172 people whose names are being placed on ECL.
