The Health Ministry of New Zealand has stated that 2 of the 6 initial coronavirus positive cases in the Pakistan squad are no longer infectious.
The Pakistani team also underwent serology Tests along with routine PCR testing for the coronavirus last day.
The New Zealand health ministry said in its press release that “Following serology (blood) testing, 2 of the original 6 positive cases are now considered to be historic cases and are therefore not infectious,”
The press release also said that 11 individuals return positive serology due to having historical infections.
Names were not revealed by the ministry NZ health ministary.
The health ministry further added that “As a result, a further 11 people (in addition to the 2 mentioned above) returned positive serology indicating previous ‘historic’ infections,”
It must be noted that 6 members of the squad had tested positive on the first day of the Pakistani team’s arrival while a 7th member tested positive yesterday.
