New Zealand defeated Pakistan by four runs in the fourth day of the test match, played in Abu Dhabi on Monday (Nov 19). New Zealand took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
Pakistan were bowled out for 171 following the target of 176, set by the winning team. Azhar Ali top-scored with 65 while Asad Shafiq made 45. NZL’s left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel finished the match with 5-59 and fast bowler Neil Wagner taking 2-27.
The second Test is in Dubai from November 24-28 and the third in Abu Dhabi from December 3-7.
