ISLAMABAD: Beginning October 11, travellers from Pakistan who have a Covid-19 vaccination certificate from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will no longer be required to go into self-isolation.
“Passengers travelling from Pakistan with a complete UK-approved vaccination will only need to take a day 2 test in England from October 11.” “No self-isolation, utilising their NADRA credentials,” said Christian Turner, the United Kingdom’s (UK) High Commissioner to Pakistan, in a tweet on Friday.

The UK has deleted 47 nations and territories from its “red list.”
The UK government said in its most recent travel warning that the red list will be reduced to seven countries from October 11 and that proof of vaccination will be accepted from 37 new nations and territories, including Pakistan, India, South Africa, and Turkey.
Passengers flying back to England from these locations will not be needed to go through hotel quarantine.
The seven nations still on the red list are Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela. According to the UK government, “eligible visitors vaccinated in over 37 new countries and territories, including Pakistan, will be regarded the same as returning fully vaccinated UK citizens, so long as they have not visited a red list territory in the 10 days before to landing in England.”
Vaccines from Astra-Zeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer are currently accepted in the United Kingdom. Chinese vaccinations, on the other hand, will continue to be rejected.
People who want to travel to a wider number of countries and areas will find it easier to do so thanks to the new UK travel policy.
Passengers who do not have an approved vaccination and are travelling from another country must still undergo a pre-departure test, a day 2, and a day 8 test, as well as complete 10 days of self-isolation.
