The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday (May 17) has officially released the song for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, which is set to kick off in England and Wales on May 30.
Titled as “Stand By”, the song is a collaboration between new artist LORYN and Rudimental, one of the UK’s most successful English drum and bass bands. According to the ICC, the partnership between LORYN and Rudimental “celebrates the cultural diversity of The United Kingdom” and the will be played in ground and city events across the tournament as the event’s official song.
“‘Stand By’ will be played around the world and provide a common voice for fans to show their passion,” said the ICC.
